BAINBRIDGE, WA- The Harvest Supper
Arts & Humanities Bainbridge will present the Farm to Table Harvest Supper for the Arts, an evening to celebrate and support this mainstay of the island’s cultural sector. The Harvest Supper will take place October 6, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Boundy Farm on Bainbridge Island. The event will offer something a little different from the galas that longtime supporters of the arts might be used to.
The event will offer something a little different from the galas that longtime supporters of the arts might be used to. Leave your dinner jackets at home: this time, AHB is drawing on Bainbridge Island’s rural roots for inspiration, emphasizing an informal and community-oriented air. Guests can look forward to a variety of small plates, lawn games, a wine toss, freshly-pressed cider, and a brief live auction.
 
Take a seat on a hay bale, enjoy mouthwatering fresh food, and celebrate and support the arts with your community!

BAINBRIDGE, WA- Halloween Walk
On October 31st, downtown Bainbridge Island merchants will close Winslow Way at 4-6 p.m. and sponsor a safe trick-or-treating evening with spooky family fun.

Come in costume, listen for spooky tunes from the Eagle Harbor Church bell tower, drink free hot cider and place your vote for the best merchant costume at the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association booth on Winslow Way.

Free Trick-or-Treat bags will be available at the Downtown Association office before Halloween and at the cider booth on Halloween evening.

Enjoy an evening in rustic yet elegant surroundings while watching our amazing Pacific Northwest wildlife on the shores of Agate Passage and help raise crucial funds needed to help treat and feed our patients and wildlife ambassadors.

While attending Wild For Wine, savor a scrumptious 3-course meal (check back soon for the menu!) masterfully created with locally sourced northwest ingredients, each course paired with a delicious regional wine. But save room because all of this is followed by a chocolate and wine pairing dessert featuring even more regional wines and decadent chocolates created by our own local chocolatier ChocMo Bistro.

On October 26th and 27th join us for our 2nd annual Haunted Heronswood, when the Garden lights up for two nights of Halloween haunts and festive food and drink. New this year a Trail of Terror (for those wanting to set their hearts racing), a Spirits & Spirits Beer Garden featuring area microbrews and hard cider, and an all-ages festive food and beverages tent. Wee ones and those wanting a calmer heartbeat will enjoy strolling through Jack O’ Lantern Lane, past vignettes inspired by S’Klallam folk stories and traditional Halloween characters.

The Annual Boo Bash Halloween Party is on Saturday, October 27th in The Event Center at The Point Casino.  Doors open at 8pm with live music by Notorious 253 at 9pm.

The costume contest registration is from 8pm to 10:30pm.  $4,000 total prizes will be awarded at 11pm.  $1,000 best male, $1,000 best female, $1,000 best overall and $1,000 Best Couple. Guest permitted to enter one category.  21 and over

KINGSTON, WA- Halloween Golden Pumpkin Hunt

Come in costume, kids and parents!  On Oct 27th it’s a 3-hour extravaganza combining a scavenger hunt, toys, games, candy and the opportunity to win lots and lots of prizes, all sponsored by Kingston businesses.

 

Meet at Kingston Mercantile at 4:00 PM, when parents and children (ages 4 to 12) can register for the event and be given a map to find the many Golden Pumpkins hidden around town.  For the next 3 hours, young goblins will “sleuth” their way from Pumpkin to Pumpkin, visiting each business along the way.  At each stop, kids will participate in unique-to-that-location games and activities and fill their trick-or-treat bags with candy and goodies.

Those who find Golden Pumpkins can win one of many gift certificates which have been donated by local businesses.  Bring your found Golden Pumpkin to Thistle Floral and Home to claim your prize.  Everyone will have an exciting evening of spooky Halloween fun.

In addition to Kingston’s Golden Pumpkin Hunt on Saturday, October 27th, kids from preschool through middle school and their adults are invited to Kingston Kiwanis’s FREE Spooktacular Halloween party at the Village Green Community Center on Wednesday, October 31st.  

It’s an all-out carnival with games, supernatural stories, and cookies and candies for every little ghostie and ghoulie.  Hours are 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  At the same time, the Kingston Library (also at the Village Green Community Center) will have fun Halloween-themed games for older youth.  Put on your best spooky clothes and come to these events for goosebumps and fun.
